Stages Of Cancer

Stages of breast cancer

To arrange treatment, gynaecologists who specialize in cancer use staging systems. The cancer stage aids in prognostication, the prediction of what will happen following treatment for healthcare providers. Cancer kind, tumor location and size, and whether the disease has spread to other body parts are all important considerations in the staging process. The stages of cancer are:

Stage 0

Since the illness hasn’t progressed beyond the ducts to other areas of your organ, it is noninvasive.

Stage I

There are cancerous cells in nearby tissue.

Stage II

A tumor or tumors have grown from malignant cells. The tumor can be greater than 5 centimeters wide but not more than 2 centimeters or smaller than 2 centimeters and have migrated to lymph nodes. At this stage, tumors can range in size from 2 to 5 cm in diameter and may or may not impact the nearby lymph nodes.

Stage III

Generally speaking, stage III cancer is known as locally progressed cancer.

Stage IV

Cancer has spread from your affected part to areas like your bones, liver, lungs or brain.
